A Scots Larder – A lesson in avoiding food waste

Posted by Alex Crate on 31st March 2016

We love the heritage of Scottish cooking; it’s full of techniques to make the most out of what is in our fridges, cupboards and leftovers. We’ve teamed up with Scottish foodie blogger, Graeme Taylor, A Scots Larder to get some of his family’s favourite recipes, that aren’t only delicious, but cost-effective and waste-free!  Read more about it here

His Trout fishcakes are a firm favourite with us, but he’s got plenty more inspiration for something you can dish up with your leftovers. Just remember, by learning some handy tips to reduce our food waste in the kitchen, you could save around £470 per household a year but more importantly you could have a big impact on our environment.

Don’t forget to tweet us pics of your food waste recipes using @greener2gethr and #emissionsimpossible.
