With April just around the corner, temperatures will begin to rise and the days will be getting noticeably warmer. This is a great time of year to start making small changes that can have a big impact.
Remember, clocks go forward next weekend
With the switch to British Summer Time on Sunday 27th March, you'll have a lot more daylight for your daily routine. It's the perfect time to think about walking to work, enjoying lighter spring evenings and getting exercise into the bargain.
Time to turn down the thermostat
Average temperatures are also starting to rise, meaning it's easier to turn down your thermostat. Dropping your home's temperature down by 1 degree could save you £80 to £85 a year in a typical, gas-heated semi. And it reduces carbon emissions at the same time. Find out other ways you can save energy at home.
Get into great, in season food
If you missed it, take a look at the ideas for finding local, in season food we posted. March and April are a great time to start enjoying more delicious food from your local area, which tastes great and also reduces the emissions created from farm to fork.
